You can experience the thrill of motorsports competition!

East Tennessee Region SCCA offers several opportunities throughout the year for you to compete in your own vehicle. Our events are officially sanctioned by The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). ETRSCCA SOLO and RallyCross events are safe, legal, and most of all – FUN.

Solo/Autocross

This event takes place on a paved surface. Drivers take turns navigating the course attempting to complete the course in the shortes amount of time necessary. Almost any vehicle can participate. Only those with a very high center of gravity would be ineligible. All you need to participate is a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a small entry fee ($45-$65). ETR has loaner helmets available!

There are several different classes available, and they are separated based on the performance potential and preparation of vehicles. For example, a Chevrolet Corvette Z06 would compete against vehicles like the Porsche GT3 and the Lotus Elise, whereas a Mazda Protege might compete with Honda Civic. There are classes for stock vehicles all the way up to purpose built autocross cars.

RallyCross

This event takes place on unpaved surfaces. Similar to SOLO, drivers navigate a course of pylons looking to set the fastest time in their class. Again, almost any vehicle can participate and there are a variety of classes, separated by drivetrain layout (front-wheel drive, rear-wheel-drive, all-wheel-drive).

All you need to participate is a vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and a small entry fee ($40-$55). However, if you have a convertible, like a Mazda Miata, you do need a hard top to be able to run.
