ETRSCCA is proud to host the first round of the 2014 Southeast Division SOLO championship – “Rumble in the Hills”. This event is for everyone, from novices to the national driver. It gives beginners a chance to get the feel of a more competitive two-day event in a fun and less stressful atmosphere. This will also be an ETR points event!
Although this is a SOLO event, it will be scored “RallyCross” style. This means that your entire cumulative time across Saturday and Sunday competition will decide the winner. You will receive one drop run on Saturday, and one drop run on Sunday. A DNF will be scored as a 10 second penalty, but only if you rejoin the course beginning with the element you missed. If you do not finish the course in it’s entirety (mechanical issue, for example), you will be given the slowest time in class, plus 10 seconds, for that run.
This style of event should make for some very interesting results and strategy!
Saturday evening, ETR will host a welcome party, so bring a chair and a tasty beverage. ETRSCCA will be providing burgers, dogs, and the fixins’. There’ll also be some adult big-wheel racing after Saturday’s competition!
